Microsoft Snapshot™ Viewer for a Windows-Based PC

NOTE: This procedure assumes that you have the proper administrative security privileges to install software on your computer. The Microsoft Snapshot™ Viewer is a safe and benign software program that is freely distributed. It allows users to open Microsoft Access Snapshot™ report files (with the ".snp" extension) without needing a full installation and license for Microsoft Access™. Contact your company's computer support resource if you are unsure about your ability to install this program.

Step 1 - Click HERE to download the installation file.

Save the file to a folder that you will remember (e.g., "My Documents", or "Temp").

Step 2 - Install the Microsoft Snapshot™ Viewer software program.

Open Windows Explorer (right-click the [Start] button and select “Explore”), find the folder you used in step 1. Double-click on the folder to open it. Find the file named “SnpVw90.exe” and double-click to run the installation.

Step 3 - After installation, test your system by opening a file with the ".snp" extension. You may need to contact your Service Solutions representative to request a file.
